What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

We do not store any data or messages you send to Michaela Ortner on this website. The messaging form online simply forwards your email address and your message to Michaela’s email address. The messages and data moves when you tell it to – over to secure connections of the services you are using and your browser.

Cookies

Cookies are files that websites store in visitors’ browsers, which facilitate your interaction with a webpage.

Since this website DOES NOT allow you to comment or register, cookie use is minimal.

Your browser may store your history and other data during your visit via session cookies. Session cookies, also known as transient cookies, are temporary. They only store information about what the user does during a single session. A session is simply a randomly generated/unique value that is assigned when someone visits a website. Session cookies are stored temporarily in memory and are automatically removed when the browser closes or the session ends.

In other words, once you close your browser, the cookies should no longer be operational.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Therefore, engaging the embedded content from FaceBook through clicking, liking or sharing, will expose you to FaceBook’s cookies and tracking. Please visit FaceBook’s privacy policy to understand how FaceBook might use your information.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with Third Parties.
We do not sell your data.

Your contact information, via the Contact form (email) or via a phone call, will, by default, be stored on either an email server (currently Gmail) or in the records of our Cell phone service provider. This is functional information and normal. It is what happens with any email you send or phone call you make. The only way to prevent this is not to get in touch with Michaela!

However, if you wish for your email address or phone number to be removed from the email or call history, or address book, please get in touch and make the request. I will be happy to oblige.

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
